The Department of HRD through its various initiatives imparts the skills to both students and staff members to help them stay relevant and thrive in their respective roles. We also believe that the domains that we nurture under the flagship Department of HRD are a result of our relationship and continued association with the industry.

Systematic Approaches

The mission at New Horizon College of Engineering is to provide able engineers and business managers who are equipped with life skills, such as providing solutions to complex problems, re-engineering processes and adding value to businesses.

Research indicates that students who complete their graduation/post graduation courses at New Horizon and seek their careers in the corporate world or wish to pursue higher education or join family business etc.

Four different structured interventions are implemented for all students studying at New Horizon College of Engineering and they are:

Industry Institute Interaction Cell
The Industry Institute Interaction Cell would lead a student towards the identification of a ‘Smart Career Goal’.

Campus Recruitment Training

Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program for students is designed depending on the specific requirements.

Consultancy
A chosen team of life skills and HR trainer have the expertise and competencies that are required to cater to the various training needs that the industry and other institutes look for.

Corporate Relations, Learning and Development and Placements
We believe in industry readiness by which the students are oriented well in advance before they face the company assessments and interviews.

Centre for Life Skills and Skill Development
The Centre for Life Skills and Skill Development through its courses instills among the students a passion for Lifelong Learning.
