About Us
New Horizon College of Engineering lays enormous emphasis on Industry-Institute Interaction activities. A dedicated Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) has been established and is led by experienced professionals to strengthen collaborations with leading industries and organisations. The key activities of the IIIC include regular interactions with industry leaders, signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed companies, establishing and managing Industry-Sponsored Skill Labs and Centres of Excellence, facilitating internships and industry projects for students, organising faculty development initiatives with industry, and conducting industry engagement programs and technical events.
New Horizon College of Engineering has established strategic partnerships with several leading multinational companies and technology organisations through MoUs and collaborative initiatives. These partnerships enable the institution to offer industry-driven certification programs, internships, skill development workshops, guest lectures, hackathons, innovation challenges, and placement opportunities, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet evolving industry demands.
Objectives
The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) at New Horizon College of Engineering is committed to fostering strong and sustainable partnerships between academia and industry to enhance the employability, innovation, and professional competence of students and faculty. The key objectives of IIIC are:
- To establish and strengthen strategic collaborations with leading industries through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and long-term partnerships.
- To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by integrating industry-relevant skills into the curriculum.
- To facilitate internships, live projects, industrial visits, and experiential learning opportunities for students.
- To establish Industry-Sponsored Skill Labs and Centres of Excellence in emerging technologies.
- To organise guest lectures, technical talks, workshops, seminars, hackathons, and certification programs in collaboration with industry experts.
- To promote research, innovation, consultancy, and technology transfer through industry-academia collaborations.
- To facilitate Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), industrial training, and faculty internships for continuous professional development.
- To enhance students' technical, professional, and employability skills through industry-driven learning initiatives.
- To encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture by connecting students with industry mentors and incubation support.
- To strengthen placement opportunities by fostering continuous engagement with corporate organisations and recruitment partners.
